Meydenbauer Bay Park & Land Use Plan // Bellevue, WA

The Master Plan envisions a memorable shoreline experience, improves access to the water, reflects positive environmental stewardship, and increases awareness of the area's rich boating and whaling history while providing many recreational opportunities. Features include improved access and views to and from the water, pedestrian promenades, new pier, improved marina, renovation of the historic Whaling Building, stream, beach and shoreline restoration, play, picnic boating and swimming area, streetscape, plaza and pedestrian improvement to strengthen connection between the shoreline, downtown, historic main street, neighborhoods and parks. The City Council's unanimous adoption follows an intensive four-year planning process that included developing the master plan, preparation of an environmental impact statement, and engagement of spirited and diverse stakeholders.
