Another Perfect Plant: Thalictrum ‘Black Stockings’
Thalictrum ‘Black Stockings’, or Meadow Rue, is a little-known perennial with big personality. Rising four to six feet when in bloom, it is a striking addition to mixed perennial borders and meadow gardens. Rich in pollen, it is a great choice if you’re hoping to attract pollinators.

Situated on Puget Sound with sweeping views to the east and the mountains beyond, this 3.3 acre shoreline at Tidepool House was separated from the water below by a 300-foot-long and 4’-8’ high failing concrete seawall.

Our boxwood of choice is Korean boxwood, Buxus sinica var. insularis ‘Wintergreen’ or Wintergreen boxwood, a variety that performs well and withstands blight.
