Salary Range:
$70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience.

Land Morphology is a dynamic, boutique-sized firm based in Seattle specializing in highly designed and detailed projects. The firm’s work focuses on botanic gardens, residential and estates gardens, and other highly crafted landscapes with an emphasis on exceptional planting design. Projects include public gardens such as Chihuly Garden and Glass, the Leach Botanical Garden in Portland, Oregon and planting design for Seattle’s Waterfront Park and Overlook Walk. Prior private work includes The Village Green at University Village in Seattle. We take pride in our technical and design standards and are known in the region for our beautiful planting design. Our work takes us to eight states.
Our studio culture values creativity, collaboration, follow-through, and accountability. We collaborate on annual goals for the firm and share in achievements with an annual office trip to study design and visit projects. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded, experienced Landscape Designer/Architect who enjoys working in a team environment. We offer a hybrid work schedule with three in-office days each week and work from a vibrant studio space in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood. This position requires employees to live within commutable distance to the Seattle metro area.
Job Description
Land Morphology is seeking a Landscape Designer/Architect with four to seven years of professional experience to join our Seattle studio.
This position involves contributing to a wide range of highly detailed projects, from private residential estates and public gardens to commercial and institutional landscapes. Candidates should be comfortable working across multiple phases of design and documentation while collaborating closely with principals, project managers, consultants, and fellow team members.
The ideal candidate is a thoughtful and technically skilled designer with strong graphic and communication abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for creating crafted landscapes. We value designers who are self-motivated, proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing creativity with technical rigor.
Responsibilities may include concept design, graphics production, design development, construction documentation, permitting coordination, detailing, planting design support, consultant coordination, and construction administration. Candidates should be comfortable contributing both independently and as part of a collaborative studio environment.
Attention to detail, follow-through, and a high level of client service are essential to this role.

Job Requirements/Qualifications
BSLA/BLA in landscape architecture required.
Four to seven years of applicable experience in a professional setting
Ability to develop construction details
Strong graphic communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Land FX; demonstrated ability to produce construction drawings in accordance with standards.
REVIT experience a plus
Familiarity with local codes
SketchUp and Adobe Creative Cloud experience
Enscape and/or Lumion experience a plus
Strong design judgment and critical thinking skills
Time management proficiency
Exceptional organizational skills
Desire to work collaboratively with others
Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and documentation of residential, public garden, and institutional landscape projects across multiple scales and phases
Prepare high-quality drawing sets, construction documents, detailing, and specifications
Assist with schematic design, design development, permitting, and construction administration
Produce presentation graphics, diagrams, renderings, and illustrative materials to support design communication
Coordinate with principals, project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout project development
Support planting design development, layout, and documentation
Participate in site visits, field observation, and consultant coordination meetings
Assist in maintaining drawing standards, project organization, and quality control
Manage time effectively across multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
Contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the studio through clear communication, accountability, and engagement
