In Seattle, you may have seen his plantings at the recently opened 20-acre Seattle Waterfront and the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum; taken guidance from his Great Plant Picks program; or perhaps grown the sweetshrub Hartlage bred as an undergrad, Calycanthus × raulstonii ‘Hartlage Wine.’
