Historic Terrace Garden

Originally designed in 1910 by Carl Frelinghuysen Gould, one of Seattle’s most influential architects, this historic garden has been thoughtfully renewed to complement the home’s legacy. A new pool was added to the upper terrace, where sweeping 270-degree views capture downtown Seattle, Queen Anne Hill, and Lake Union.

Simple, elegant elements respect the property’s historic character while framing the dramatic panorama. Additional terraces were reimagined to accommodate both entertaining and family play, creating a landscape that is timeless, functional, and seamlessly connected to the home.
