2026 Merit Award for Residential Design: Edgewood Farm

2026 WASLA Merit Award — Residential Design
Edgewood Farm: A Garden in Rooms
Wakefield, Rhode Island

Land Morphology received a Merit Award for Residential Design from the Washington Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for the design of Edgewood Farm.

Edgewood Farm, a historic Rhode Island property, reinterprets traditional estate gardens through a contemporary sequence of outdoor rooms. Sculpted landforms, richly composed plantings, reclaimed regional stone, and locally crafted white oak structures create a landscape of exceptional detail and craftsmanship. The WASLA jury recognized the project's strong design vision, carried through to execution, and praised its thoughtful integration of salvaged cobblestone and recycled materials. The resulting garden balances architectural clarity, ecological responsibility, and inviting spaces for outdoor living.
