A visionary in both civic and private garden design, Mrs. Thorne was instrumental in shaping the organization’s legacy and created gardens of exceptional beauty in the New York and California communities where she lived.

This recognition reflects Richard’s enduring commitment to excellence in landscape design and his contributions to the cultural and ecological richness of the garden arts.
