Magnolia Modern
Seattle, Washington
study in form
and detail
This contemporary garden is designed as a seamless extension of the home, balancing bold geometry with refined detail. Structured design “bars” create striking visual patterns from above, while narrow beech and sweetgum trees frame the space without blocking panoramic views, forging harmony between architecture and landscape.
At its center, an arbor-covered deck overlooks an oval rain garden planted with flowering native species. A dramatic fire bowl anchors the space, inviting evening gatherings, while a raised steel planter vegetable garden brings both practicality and modern elegance.
From the street to the top floor, every angle reveals a cohesive outdoor experience—sophisticated, functional, and timeless.
